  • Everything about living in these apartments was awful. From the front staff, the neighbors, to the apartment itself, it is a nightmare. To start, they lured us in with a half off the first month rent offer, which after we signed the contract on our six month lease, they promptly revoked the offer saying that was only for a year lease or longer. This was never mentioned to us after we told them multiple times that we would be on a short term lease. After going back and forth in e-mails, they finally agreed to allow us to get half off our second month of rent. The flags waving out front of this apartment complex says "Renovated Apartments" however, these apartments are not renovated. They're updated with a coat of paint here and there, new low level appliances and some new-ish cheap vinyl flooring, but they are by no means renovated. The first night you spend in these apartments, you're going to quickly realize that the coat of paint they put on the water damaged, mildewed cabinets are not going to cut it for the next year. The first thing we noticed upon moving into the apartment was that our carpets wreaked of dog urine. The ladies at the front desk insisted that they replaced the carpet with new carpet. We found out VERY quickly that that was not true at all. I found earrings, glitter nail polish, and white fragrance powder when I vacuumed the rugs the first time in my canister vacuum. They never replaced the rugs or even bothered to have them cleaned. They sprinkled carpet freshener on the carpets and rushed us in there for a quick dime. The walls in these apartments are paper thin. You can hear your neighbors all around you like they're in the room with you. This is not an exaggeration in the slightest. If you end up in a first floor apartment, all you hear all day is your neighbors above you stomping around, their neighbor's kid crying and screaming all day, your neighbors across the hall screaming at each other, the sirens of firetrucks and ambulances on an average of ten times a day, and the crazy old lady pacing the hallways on her phone with her friend, complaining about her new neighbors she hates. Your upstairs neighbors have the same crappy vinyl flooring that you do, so you can hear every footstep almost amplified above you. Some days our neighbors were so loud above us, our fans would shake above our heads. Sitting in this apartment one day of the weekend will leave you a jittery, stressed out mess. We had went to the front desk multiple times asking them to please ask our neighbors to be a bit quieter and they shrugged at us and said there was nothing they could do because the flooring upstairs makes it loud. Another time my husband went into the front office for help and they said "Yeah it's going to be loud. Your new neighbors are moving in" then completely ignored him because they were busy giving a tour to the next unsuspecting victims. They also made excuses to allow themselves into the apartment eight times in only two months. Yep, you read that right eight times in two months. One of the times I was actually sleeping when maintenance let themselves in.By the time we left the apartments, we had maintenance, new management, and sprinkler repair teams in and out of those apartments over a dozen times. You want privacy here? Forget it. This is worse than living in a college dorm. The whole time we lived here my husband had a terrible time with is allergies. We later discovered that the blinds and windows were covered in a black mold and the air filter had never been changed from when the previous tenants with dogs lived there! The shower in the master bathroom had mildew along the top edge and under all sinks wreaked of water damage and mildew as well. The windows are terribly drafty and any wind blowing outside will be amplified tenfold by the windows whistling from the wind. The heat is constantly running and the power bills are astronomical because the windows have little to no seal left on them. We were leaving a month earlier than our lease date, but were told "You know what you signed" when asked if we could work something out in regards to early termination of the lease. After the attitude and insisting we paid our last month rent and water bill, they then told us we need to make sure we're out of there on that exact day because they have someone else moving into the apartment the following Monday. I was also told that if I didn't hand over my keys before the month began, even though I paid for that apartment though the the end of the following month, they would charge me ANOTHER month. I understand paying through the end of our lease when it's one month out from being over, but charging me another month for holding on to the keys to an apartment I technically am still on the lease for and paid for? Absolutely ridiculous!! We're now dealing with collections because of their issues of miscommunication within their staff. New management, or not, stay away!!
