The thing that sets this salon apart is the relaxing shoulder massage they include with their services at no extra charge. I tried this salon based on the great recommendations and reviews for it by other patrons. I was able to make a quick appointment (although they accept walk-ins too) and get right in.
I would put this salon higher on the food chain over SuperCuts, Great Clips and Cost Cutters, but it's also not a high-end salon either. It was trendy and clean and I liked the atmoshere. I guess I just expected it to be busier. I was there on a Wednesday at 11:30am and there was only one stylist. Granted, I didn't have to wait and she is a good stylist I just thought there would be more people.
My stylist gave me a really great shoulder massage and the shampoo chairs are some of the most comfortable ones I've ever been in. She did great job on my haircut after listening to my style preferences and willingness, or more accurately put, unwillingness to put a lot of effort into my hair. She gave me an easy-to-manage, carefree style that I only need to blow dry and use hairspray to style. Perfect.
The Salon offers Wednesday discounts on hair cuts and Friday discounts on color treatments with purchase of hair cut--you just have to print off the coupon from their website. It's a great discount and I suggest using it if you can go Wednesdays between 10am-3pm.
Overall, I would recommend this salon. Reasonable prices and good results. They don't accept checks or American Express, but they do take other credit cards and cash. It's located on the SE corner of 99th Ave and McDowell in the building farthest South of Ichi Ban Sushi restaurant (there are multiple building in the complex, same connected parking lot). Not as easy to find as some of the other stores, but well worth searching it out.
