I had a Kinetico Water Softener installed through Home Depot back in 2012. I lived alone at the time. My partner recently moved in and when he looked at the installation he informed me that it was poorly installed and probably didn't meet code for installation. It had been installed outside where the sun hit it most of the day, with no protection, and some parts had been sun and heat damaged.
I called Kinetico, who by the way is very hard to get a hold of on the phone (it's better to email them) and asked them for a copy of the signed inspection report from the permit they would have to have gotten.
My partner and I ended up speaking to Bob the Service Manager who offered to send someone out to resolve all my installation issues even though it had been 6 years since installation.
They promptly sent Jose and Charlie to my home. They arrived during the time range given and were very helpful. Jose and Charlie were eager to satisfy and when they could not move the tank where I requested they did come up with a satisfactory solution. They worked quickly and made sure all was well before they left. They didn't even complain about having to move some stones out of the way for the tank. Jose and Charlie are an asset to Kinetico Quality Water Systems.
