| - Ambiance is what this buffet steals from others. First, let me start by saying this one is called "More" not just The Buffet. To get to this location, you have to travel down to the "basement" level beneath the main casino floor. Once downstairs and at the registers you are transported to a nice Egyptian theme. From the walls to pillars, ceiling to decor, this location has an encompassing theme. Due to the moderate pricing g and decent quality, this buffet can see quite a bit of a line, particularly during brunch hours, and Fri-Sun dinner hours. I have yet to visit during peak seasons so I intend to update my review when that happens.
FOOD QUALITY
This buffet has a handful of your standard stations, especially carving station, Italian, Asian, American. The unique feature here is the Mediterranean and Gluten-free station. It may not be fancy or over the top, but has a small handful of different options. Food may not be as fresh-tasting as Aria or Bellagio's, but it is not as bland and dry as Circus Circus or even sometimes Excalibur's. I was fairly impressed with their salad and fruit section, as it was the largest of all. One side had all salad, one side all breads, one side a mix of non-green salads (potato, macaroni, etc) and fruits, and the end closest to the registers has seafood. This buffet may not have as exquisite seafood as some other locations, but for the price paid, you really can't expect much more and it is still fresh quality. Your standard drinks are self-serve, but like with Mirage, there is a bar available for purchase, and the unlimited drinks deal is very worth it!
STAFF
The staff at this location is friendly, but not over the top. They are fairly quick to clear your table of old dishes, as it seems each server is assigned to a smaller section of tables than some of these other buffets. They are very polite, and I have noticed when confronted with a lack of space to pass through, they take the extra step and instead of simply standing aside for you, they will either engage in very small talk to ease the tension, or will stop, turn, and go a different direction. I am not sure if this is all intentional and psychological, or if it is just a random chance to witness, but it is something that I saw that I don't see at other buffets. Serving station staff tend to engage with patrons a bit more and will give the basic salutation and thanks. At the carving station, the person did make smaller comments like "great choice!" Or "fantastic option, it's really good!" These small comments go a long way, and I think other carving stations can learn from this!
ALL IN ALL
You get a bit more than you pay for, but if you are expecting the over the top experience then it may be best to spend the extra to go for a top of the line like Wicked Spoon, Bacchanal, Bellagio, or Aria. With this buffet, pricing is decent, food selection and quality is above average, and staff may not be over the top, but are respectful and pleasant to converse with.
