Came back last night and I'm trying to decide about removing one star or two.
Came at 5 and was pleased to see more people in the restaurant than the last time we where here. Feels more comforting personally.
My partner ordered the non vegetarian Dahl thali **(that take out menu, in restaurant menu and online menu all have different items listed for this- be warned) ** which was a great way to try a lot of different items. They serve you small portions dishes, plus rice, naan and a yogurt dip. Such a great deal to try new food. The menu said dessert was part of it but it never came. Out of all the dishes the only one that he didn't like was the lentils. Was too salty. Not sure it that's how it's supposed to be or if it just got over seasoned.
I ordered whipped spinach with cheese, and goat curry at a spicy level of 7 andJeera Rice( if you never had this before, I HIGHLY recommend this) and of course garlic naan. What came to the table was different. I got a different goat dish instead of the curry ( tomato base that was thin and soupy) and with very little spice. (My boyfriend order his spice lever at 5 and was stronger than my dishes) new cook, different cook, waiter miss heard me?? I didn't complain because I hate that at restaurants and didn't want to waste the food. It was still good ( not amazing like last time but again, I got the wrong dish) different chef, off night?
No dessert for the boyfriend
I was served the wrong dish
I still really enjoy the food I was served and my evening out but these little things kind of bug me. the servers are always nice and great, sometimes a bit slow when trying to wrap things up at the end. I'm just gonna say it was a off night. Of course I'll be back because everything is still delicious.
