If you dont know what Turkish Dondurma is, read this, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dondurma, and watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qOnLZ3ET10. It is pretty good as it is resistant to melting. As for the taste, I've read somewhere that the more mastic the more taffy like the ice cream, but the more piney, pitchy it will taste. I think the guys here probably pulled back on the amount of mastic to where the characteristics of traditional Dondurma held true while making the flavor as close to regular ice cream without it tasting like like pine needles or that white sap you see on pine tree trunks. The only criticism is that the salesman/owner? was not knowledgeable to the items shown on his website. I asked if they had a menu that showed pics of their menu items here. http://www.marashcream.com under the current specials. They dont even know what these items were. They just pointed at the cones and cups, and no menu board which would tell you what they can make and what they can sell. Almost as if they hired a web page maker.
