| - I'm not sure how I had never heard of Handel's prior to last week, but alas someone told me about it and it didn't disappoint.
I kidn of dig their set up. Just 4 walk up windows, no inside seating, but you can see where all the magic happens through the window. It is a little odd not looking at the ice cream as you make your selection. Given some of the odd names it can be tough to know what's what. However, I tried two samples and they were super cool providing them. Cost for a cone is less than Baskin Robbins and on Tuesday's I learned they have $2 scoops. If I lived closer I would definitely hit this place up on the regs. Being in the Henderson/Green Valley area that's just not possible.
For my maiden voyage I went with an old classic, Cookies & Creme. Or I think it was Oreo chunk, something along those lines. The pics from fellow Yelpers is what put it over the top for me. They are not shy with the Oreos, which is how all versions of this ice cream should be. Super creamy, Oreos were soft. And while there were a lot, they were spread out, so you didn't just eat the Oreo then have none for the rest of the journey. It was perfect. My wife went with the Cookie Dough and it was disappointing. Not a ton of dough and a little blah-zay. She loved my selection though.
Cool place, good ice cream. If in the area I'd definitely stop by!
