| - I remember having gone to this place a few years ago when they newly opened and being amazed! I had dropped in a few times for lunch, and it was always amazing, we were thoroughly satisfied. But this last visit, which was for dinner, was completely underwhelming. Not only was management and the staff lackluster, but the quality of the food was subpar (compared to previous experiences). They made it seem as though it was a huge inconvenience to accommodate a party if 8-10 persons, and wouldn't seat us until the entire party arrived, even though we expressed that we would be ordering throughout the wait. The manager basically rolled his eyes at the request of us being seated, mind you, it was a Tuesday night and the restaurant was at about 50% capacity, so we expressed frustration. Now onto the food, besides the service taking longer than it did for us to be seated, once we got the apps, nothing tasted fresh. Everything tasted as though it had been sitting under a heat lamp for houses, oh and did I mention that they decided to tell us three minutes before 10pm, that the regular menu ended at 10? (our reservation was for 9:30, we weren't seated until 9:50). Yeah, even though I called in advance to confirm their kitchen would be open late, which the hostess failed to mention had its conditions. Even the tacos (because what else were we there for?) tasted the same as the apps, dated and dry. I was saddened by the realization that what was once one of my favorite gourmet taco shops, had been, or is continuing to be run to the ground. They have not changed a single thing on their menu since their opening back in late 2013. Needless to say, we will not be returning. I generously gave them a 2 star rating, vs what would have been 5 stars back in late 2013, early 2014, for not truly expressing concern or care for us, and the lack of progressive efforts.
