I will start by saying I'm a snob when it comes to steak. I've been unimpressed with some very well known steakhouses, so I'm always on the lookout for great steak. I can say I found that here.
I came here with a group for dinner without reservations. They were booked solid but thought they may have a cancellation so called the party to see if they could release the table for us. This level of service continued all night.
After being stayed we were brought our drinks with plenty of recommendations from our waitress. This was soon followed by complimentary French fries, fried in duck fat. On top of that they were seasoned with old Bay, black truffle or an herb blend. Best fries ever.
I next had a BLT lettuce wedge. It came with thick cut bacon and large chunks of blue cheese. It was good but at the end of the day it was a chunk of lettuce for $18.
The real star was the steak, as it should be. I got the house specialty, the Wagyu Rib Cap cooked to a chef recommended and perfect medium rare. The meat was so tender you could cut it with a fork. The flavor was off the charts and the Fois gras butter just took the whole thing to another level. I can't remember ever having a better steak. It was really pricy, $89, but worth the cost for sure.
Stripsteak is a very expensive meal, but if you have the money, you will not be disappointed by the food or the service.
