| - Ah, the infamous 168 Market, the ol' reliable market in town. It's probably my favorite Asian market in town. The prices are very hard to beat, and the quality of their items are pretty good.
I first came here after hearing that they have a decent roasted pork. Inside of 168 Market, there is a little grab-and-go takeout counter, very similar to the Panda, but the food is more traditional, and less generic. They offer well-priced combo meals, or you can buy items ala carte. The only thing I don't like there is their dim-sum. I was pretty disappointed. Also, sometimes their crispy pork belly can be a little bit too tough.
As far as the rest of the market goes, their vegetables are cheaper, and sometimes, better quality than the other Asian supermarkets in town. This is also true for their shelved items (but check the expiration date). I've never bought any meats or fish there, and they do have live fish that they will butcher for you on the spot, so you know it's fresh. But the meat section, sometimes it smells a lil bit funky, I'll just leave it to that. But, I'm sure it's fine though.
I'll be back, it's a great supermarket to find hard-to-find Asian items. I like the roasted pork too. They also have a lil' bakery inside the market. It's not the best baked items, but it's serviceable.
