| - Went to this nail salon to get acrylic nails for the first time . I was not satisfied at all. First, I should have turned around and walked out when the Asian girl did not understand English very well when i asked about services . Anyway , a man took me back and started working on my nails . He used a drill to sand my nail bed , which hurt a little (not sure if all salons use a drill). After he put nail tips on, started to trim them down , he had to use scissors to trim thumb nail . While trying to cut nail , he caught hold of my thumb and almost cut finger if I had not yelled out that he was about to cut finger. In the end when he was done , the acrylic on left nails were thicker . To say the least , I did not give a tip for that experience . The next day , I realized that there was a gap between my nail and the nail tip. All-in-all, the shape of nails were not uniform , acrylic too thick , some nails crooked , and it looked like I needed a fill-in already . Will never go back . Oh, one other thing . ..a week later , some acrylics are starting to detach from nail bed . One nail is giving me pain, that I had to wrap a bandaid around it. Now I am online trying to figure out how to remove acryllic before I get an infection .
