rev:text	I heard about this place from a coworker of mine that claimed it had the best and most authentic Vietnamese food in the Las Vegas area. I knew I had to try it after hearing him talk so highly of it. Without looking at any of the pictures, I came here on a whim. Immediately seeing the doors, I could already tell this was going to be far from authentic. It has the American western spin and style on the decor, the the atmosphere, and the food itself. There was not a speck of Vietnamese on the menu. Everything was in English. I'm not saying that this is a bad thing. I was just expecting full blown Vietnam when he told me authentic. My gf and I ordered the oxtail fries, pho Bo vien, and I got the steak and eggs. The oxtail fries came out at the same time as my steak and eggs, leaving no gap between appetizer and entrée. The oxtail fries were a 1/10 for me. The attempt to blend fries with a soupy oxtail gravy broth results in a soggy mess of flavors that do not complement each other. It actually became worse as I ate more and more. Initially I thought it would garner a 3/10 but as I said the flavors were fighting each other in my mouth, and maybe even my stomach. My entrée was the steak and eggs but should be called steak and egg. The shaky beef was delicious and pretty amazing. The rice itself was bland in my opinion but it might have been part of the experience to emphasize the shaky beef flavoring. My girlfriend got the pho meatballs and told me they were between a four and a six. So I'll say five. All in all this meal was mediocre for way too much. And I still have the aftertaste of the oxtail fries in my mouth hours later.
