Never again! Avoid this place for waxing at the very least!
I went to get an underarm waxing. It was my first time and now I'm scared to try it again. The room we went to wasn't very clean and it was tiny! At one point she had to move the table into the middle of the room to be able to extend her arm for the wax removal. She didn't get all the hair during the waxing part and kept blaming my hair. It made me feel bad. She attempted to tweeze the remaining hair, but pinched my skin many times. The same happened with my other arm. She took an hour to do this. As soon as I left I knew something was wrong. My armpits were hella red and felt like they were on fire. I kind of expected that, but I did not expect a ridiculous rash...with hair still there! Stubble all over them with a crazy rash. Yeah, that's what I wanted. How lovely. It's been 30 hours and my arms still have a painful rash and obviously they're still hairy!
As others mentioned the website is deceiving. The salon is not as nice is it appears. I was quoted a different price than what I was charged. In the email exchange and according to their website underarm waxing is $20 in addition to locals getting a 20% discount. Well, that didn't happen. The waxer seemed to arbitrarily charge me. $28 is what I heard her whisper then the receptionist told me the total with my discount is $20. That math is wrong, but still cheaper than the correct math. But not as cheap as it was originally supposed to be. The waxer stood beside me as I was paying. So freaking awkward. I didn't want to tip at all, but I felt obligated since she was hovering.
TL;DR:
Overcharged for a terrible wax job that left me with a significant rash and large amount of stubble left over. The entire ordeal was really high up on the awkward moments scale.
