| - I'm really disappointed by the experience I had at Sapporo today. My son and I went for Mother's Day lunch. He's almost 4. This was his first experience with the Japanese table cooking, so I was extremely excited for his first time at this kind of establishment. However, the experience was overshadowed by the EXTREMELY terrible service. It was slow and we were ignored, and once we ended up sitting around waiting for long periods of time, my son hated the place. We shared the table with a nice family who ordered alot of food. The chief was nice, he wouldn't throw food to my son like he did for the other kids at the table, but he did take it upon himself to cut up the meat he served on my son's plate. The waiter was awful though. We waited a long time after the meal was over for the waiter to come back by and tell him we wanted to order the cheesecake. Mind you I asked if I needed to order the cheesecake with the initial order, he said no, he'd come back at the end. After we waited so long for him to come take the order, we waited even longer for them to bring the cheesecake....it never came. The only person that came was the bus boy. While sitting there waiting for cheesecake the bus boy proceeded to clean the table we were seated at. We went to the hostess stand to ask for the check and just leave. Eventually the guy came back and was like oh no one ever brought you the cheesecake? I'm like no, can we please just get our check and leave? We ended up standing off to the side at this point as the bus boy was too involved with cleaning the table for us to go back there and wait for the check. The server brought back our check and two coupons for $25 off a $100 purchase...to be used separately, alcohol not included. I'm a single mom of a four year old, we will never go to a restaurant and order $100 dollars worth of food, so I told him to give the coupons to the table with the large family and we left. No apologies from the staff or anything.
