rev:text	If I could give it no stars, I would. The pictures used to sell this place are clearly from years ago. The hotel is shabby, worn down and dirty. There was a random pile of broken cement by the pool, caution tape stretched across areas blocking your path to walk. The hotel room itself was just awful- literally my skin started to itch- the toilet, tub etc were filthy, there was some kind of bug in the bed, no towels in the bathroom, etc. The biggest kicker is the appalling general manager, who seems more concerned with arguing people and their reviews than actually providing any service. In fact, when I wanted to check out & cancel the rest of my reservation, the girl at the desk was unable to do so because the manager doesn't let her have access. She told me I'd have to wait until the next day for the manager to decide- what? Wtf kind of business practice is that? I told her no, she needed to get it done before I left- to which she had to call the manager. Angry that he was being bothered on his personal time, he yelled at me, refused to help, told me I didn't care about other people, and threatened to call the police because " I was trespassing " Look- I'm not the petty little person who doesn't give the appropriate access to my coworkers or won't empower them to make decisions. When that happens, yes, you're gonna be expected to do everything. I'm also not trespassing if I'm a registered, paying guest whom you refuse to refund. "James" called back again threatening to call the police- while I was calling the Choice Hotels corporate office- and refused to give me his mangers name- "nobody is my boss" which is laughable. He finally capitulated and Marisol (the sole redeeming quality at this hotel) cancelled my reservation & zeroed put my ledger- I think. I'll check in the morning again, since it still showed pending in my credit card. For those saying you get what you pay for- yes it was inexpensive, but I drove 5 minutes down the road to the best western, which was $2.54 more, clean, updated & staffed with professional employees,
