Having never experienced what these escape room puzzles and hearing friends buzz about it, I went in there with an open mind.
And then I was thoroughly disappointed.
We had a group of 6 people and tried the poker room. The room is basically a small office space comprised of a bunch of puzzles that need to be solved in order to open locked boxes that reveal some other puzzles.
By the way, the story has nothing to do with the puzzles - no connection whatsoever.
Some of the puzzles are ok and some are challenging but once you find the answer it doesn't leave you with a satisfying or rewarding feeling.
You get only 45 minutes to complete the puzzle and this is one major hinder to having a great experience because when you're spending between $15 - $25 PER PERSON (depending if you "like" them on FB and/or pay cash), it sucks big time if you're smart enough to finish the puzzle in, say 20 minutes, you don't get to try another puzzle and if you're too dumb to finish within 45 minutes you don't get extra time to complete your puzzle.
Our group ended up spending $90.00 for 45 minutes and you just don't leave with the feeling you got any value out of it.
The biggest thing I learned from this is that I will not be coming back here again.
