We stopped into Hannys before a concert and having heard rave reviews, was excited to check it out.
I don't know that after my experience I would come back.
Understandably, the place was busy. We waited in line to speak to the host. The two men in front of us clearly put their name on the list and we overheard the host telling them they could hang out at the bar while they waited.
As soon as we approached the host, he was clearly very overwhelmed. We told him it would be just the two of us. He began to explain their was a concert (we knew) and the place would not clear out until after the concert started and he already had 13 or so people on his list. He didn't offer to take our name or suggest sitting at he bar, he really just seemed to be saying, no, you can't eat here.
It was one of the most awkward and rude situations I've encountered in the service industry. I hope that's not how Hannys operates, but I doubt I will go back to find out.
