| - Let's just say we are glad our lease is over!!! We were in a three bedroom apartment, which itself was spacious and very nice. We liked the faux wood floors, many closets and square footage of the apartment. The appliances leave a lot to be desired, but it is an apartment.
Two light fixtures did fall on my senior mother's head, and when reported to the office they didn't ask if she was ok or anything!
We were told no aggressive dogs were allowed in the complex yet I saw many pit bulls, shepherds and several other breeds that are classified as aggressive. When I asked about it I was told "maybe they are service dogs?" Really? All of them? And not on leashes?
And who is supposed to pick up dog feces? When I brought that up they said they would get on to maintenance about it, instead of bringing it up to the residents.
The maintenance staff is great about coming to your home to fix things, WHEN the office tells them about your service requests.
The ONLY person that EVER cared about the property in the ever changing of staff there was the former community manager Arjay and for some reason they let him go. Jaime was the community manager and has been promoted to District Manager tried telling me that the reason they couldn't get the lights replaced inside the trash enclosure was because that is Republic Services responsibility. Well, I used to work in property management and worked on a daily basis with the rep's from Republic Services and know that they do not have anything to do with any lights. The lights are private property. When I continued to remind her of the liability, the homeless people that are in the trash enclosure, the darkness outside, she did not seem interested in the residents safety. Oh but she got promoted to District, probably due to the cost reduction, defiantly not the occupancy because the place kept getting more and more empty! BTW the lights were finally fixed 9 months later by Arjay, who was fired.
Oh and don't let them fool you with the cost of utilities. We were told it would run around $60 something a month. But due to the continual vacancy ours ran from $80-$90 something.
I could go on and on like the others are saying but I am sure you get the idea. Oh,the new community manager is worthless. He makes appointments and doesn't keep them, he even goes as far as called Jaimethe DM a liar to my face and said she doesn't know what she is talking about. Oh wasn't that nice of him to say about the DM of his company. And the entire time he is doing my walk thru he is talking smack. So much class. Actually he was unprofessionally, acted like a big child being bothered and extremely rude and if he were one of my employees that had worked in one of my properties he would be looking for another job.
Would I recommend The Edge as a place to live? A three bedroom apartment was running me $1480 plus $80+ utilities plus electricity a month. Then they wanted to raise it to $1575.
The staff was ridiculous! The maintenance staff is awesome, but not enough to want to rent there! I would run for the hills!
Oh and yes, there are rats during the summer.
The security gate never works, so your not secured.
The gym is never locked so anyone can just walk in.
Henderson police should just take up residence because they are there at least twice a week.
Be prepared for neighbors from hell because I do not believe they do many systems checks on who they let in there!!!
