This is one of those places that I keep going back to because of what they sell, even thought I lose a bit of my sanity with every visit.
I love President's Choice products and I also like the "Joe" clothing they sell. I find their produce to be better than Safeway and they have a better selection of meat (and better quality). AS a result, I end up going there about once a month to stock up on items.
Where they fall exceptionally hard on their faces is customer service. First of all carts: They have a ton of room inside for carts but its a 50/50 shot regardless of time of day if they have any inside. Often you need to head outside and get your own. I'd be ok with that if it was always like that but there is no rhyme or reason to it.
There are ALWAYS line ups at the cash. Big ones. Doesn't matter when you go. They always seem under prepared for however busy they are. The'y'd also rather make a line of 10 people wait over 5 minutes for a 50 cent price check difference. I'd find a way to empower my cashiers a bit more to make the call on that kind of thing. I had to wait over 10 minutes to have something adjusted on my bill as they overcharged by $4. I opted to pay the higher price to get out of there.
They "Customer Service" counter is also ridiculous. There is always a line about 6 people deep...usually the same people I've seen in line having pricing issues. The staff there are clueless and don't seem to care when a customer is upset. One of these days the stress of going there will outweigh my need for the products. They could easily do better but I dont think they care.
