Stuck in the 90's. Not sure what to expect, but I was certainly expecting more. This is 2015, not 1990...
It is clean, well run by friendly employees. They seem to have plenty of lifeguards on duty. Plenty of seating in and around the pool areas. Plenty of shade coverings. Even had cabanas you could rent. But everything reminded me of a slimmed down version of the Wet N Wild of Yesteryear. Like the one that was on the strip.
They have no real plan for crowd control or to manage the lines. Its all by hand signals and colored sticks held up or down!!
The new Wild Surf ride is a death trap waiting to happen and we were almost the ones to make it happen... Not a well-built slide with a lot of problems controlling the tubes. That ride makes the insurance agent cringe and a trial lawyer smile.
Zuma ZOOMa - Popular, but only one tube?? And no verticle drop??
The Lazy River. By mid-day, it was 90% empty tubes floating and 10% people. No empty tubes on shore for people to grab. We had to go fishing for them than spend all our time navigate around all the other empty tubes. Get the tubes out and let the people have fun.
They either need to add to the attractions they have, or get some new technology to move people around faster and better. Keep them occupied. We spent way too much time waiting in lines that did not have to be there...
Having to stop, get out of another long line, go back to where we had left our clothing or bags, get cash and go for food/beverages. Again, 90's technology for a supposed modern theme park. Even the carnivals have wristbands for tracking guests and purchasing tickets and food.
It was a fun day to spend with the family (until we almost drowned on the Wild Surf) But not worth the full price of admission. We had coupons... return?? When we get more coupons maybe...
