  • This space is massive! There are multiple floors of maze like halls each holding a really cool secret. There are a lot of independent rooms each housing an artist of one kind or another. It was not of course the main reason for going here, but it was neat to see how each artist decorated their space (i.e., combo gallery and workshop) and made it cozy, luxurious, unique, etc when they each started with a very modern and plane warehouse type space. On top of that I enjoyed viewing art of many different medium as well as the wares of local merchants selling things like soaps and shirts. There is merchandise to appease someone of all tastes from floral to Cleveland cityscapes to geometric work to woodworking and home decor items. There is food for purchase as well as snacks and drinks in most all of the galleries if you go during the Third Friday event. Some of the artists were actually working during this time, but it would be cool to come back and see the place during the day when more work is going on. Third Fridays though guarantees that most of the shops will be open. If you've ever been to Alexandria, VA outside of DC, this place is much like the Torpedo Factory Art Center.
