| - In my opinion, there are 2 parts to Eddy's, and I would give both parts 5 stars.
There is the pick your own fruit and the fresh vegetables.
And then there is the packaged & jarred products that offer a way to taste the best of the season when out of season.
The day I went, you wouldn't have thought they'd be busy. It was cold, overcast & drizzling. But the parking lot was full of cars and school buses full of children.
Apparently, when it's the right time to pick apples, that is what you do... weather be damned.
The pumpkins were truly beautiful and if I could have carried one on the plane, I would have.
Instead I loaded up with real Ohio maple syrup, apple butter, cashew brittle, pumpkin bread mix, speciality dippin' mustards and a caramel apple for the road. (No, I didn't eat it while driving)
I love supporting a local, family run farm that has been doing what they do best for over a hundred years.
I love it more when it tastes so good doing it.
