| - I've been going here since college, and it's a great niche for what I want. I can still drink all the beer I want without the blaring music of Mill, can chill with some peeps over board games, and I can even bring in my own food from other joints in the area! I definitely have fond memories of pints over some popcorn and Cards Against Humanity.
It's still an amazing joint that I recommend, but while some places they've gotten better, others are worse. On the bright side, they introduced a food menu now with some apps and meals. Not bad if you don't wanna bring in your own stuff, but I will say the pizza tasted frozen. I did like the pretzels, but it seems that menu replaced the popcorn machine.
And it's been a while, but the Sleepy Dog taps have shrunken to make room for plenty of guests. I personally miss my favorite beer the Leg Humper hefeweisen and the related Lady and the Tramp drink - sometimes would make the drive for just a pint of that. I haven't determined if it's seasonally gone or forever, but either way it makes me sad.
I forgot to take a picture, but they seem to close a little earlier as well. It's still a great spot relatively early in the night, but it might not be my final stop anymore. Doesn't take away from Sleepy Dog's main appeal though - a great communal joint with some good beers.
