When my wife was searching the area for hotels close to the Arizona Grand Resort for our Irish Dance Championship trip, this hotel came up on the searches with a pool, fitness center, hot breakfast and affordability. When was not in the listing was that the reason for their current affordability was that their pool was not heated (way colder than acceptable - feet could not get warm after 10 minutes on the steps), and there was widespread construction going on throughout the hotel to where accessing the floor with the fitness center was a trick and there was loud drilling going on the entire day. The breakfasts were good most mornings, but on the final day, Sunday, my older daughter experienced food poisoning within an hour after breakfast, and after having been in high spirits during breakfast - she experienced vomiting the entire trip back to Los Angeles and was only getting rest 9 hours after her meal.
l visit a lot of hotels in my business travels, and even the smaller cozier chains need to have a certain minimum thresholds to be met. None of those were met on this and we will be looking elsewhere for next year's event and thinking twice about this chain.
