  • Ughh I really wanted to give four stars because the overall experience wasn't terrible at all! I had a great time HOWEVER...there are a lot of things they need to work on and I agree with other reviews saying to wait until The Linq has their stuff together. So I stayed during the week of 5/5 to 5/9 for a birthday trip with my boyfriend. My flight came in 2 hours before check in so there weren't any issues with checking in a little early. The lady at the front desk vented to me how others didn't know about the incidentals charge and resort fee before checking in (which I completely understand. I always call a hotel a week before I check in to confirm my reservation and ask for any charges they have for the stay). If you pay attention to what the staff says about the room number, you won't be confused lol The rooms are a decent size (not sure why everyone was saying how small they were). I had a deluxe king room and had a nice view of the Promenade and the High Roller from the 18th floor. All of the restaurants were delish and the Promenade is super fun to walk around. The Linq is smack dab in the middle of the strip so the possibilities for entertainment are infinite. The last night, we rode the High Roller which was pretty cool. I also went to the spa the day after it opened and amazing is an understatement. The entire spa staff was friendly and so nice to say the least (thanks Stephanie, Jodi and Melissa!) and really helped me relax for the morning. As for the things that they can fix, I think the incidentals charge is really high at $75/night, especially when you stay for longer than 3 nights and pay the resort fee on top of that. Before my trip, I called the hotel and specifically asked for my room charges to be subtracted from the incidentals charge upon check out. I was told this was fine and that a note would be made on my account to do so. Apparently, they couldn't do that and the hotel instead charged me double and the refunded the first charges a few days after checking out (wasn't fun having close to $600 missing from your bank account for a good week). So I had to go down to the lobby and when trying to find out why I was charged, it took the staff close to 30 minutes to figure out why they did it and I was given some bs explanation of why they couldn't take it out of my incidentals charge, even though I was told they could and the note being made on my account. They could have at least honored it. My disappointment continued after my trip was done when I realized that they didn't credit my room the $25 food & beverage for the power going out on one of the nights so I had to call and spend 20 minutes trying to get it refunded. It was fixed but still a pain since we went to Guy Fieri's restaurant specifically for the room credit towards our bill. And the housekeeping people were kind of jerks kicking us out of our room abruptly at like 10am to finally clean the day before we checked out after not having our room cleaned for 4 days. Overall, a pretty cool hotel. It's definitely for a younger crowd but my boyfriend and I didn't mind the noise since we're close to mid 20s in age. I didn't get a chance to gamble but every time we were in the lobby walking past tables, people seemed to be winning and screaming with joy haha. I might stay here again but maybe in a year or so IF they don't close down by then or change ownership. Please fix the issues and I will definitely be staying again.
