I recently stayed at Bally's again because I found a decent rate online. The good part about Bally's is that it is center strip, and the prices are great for the location. They now have check-in kiosks which made our experience very fast, although it does help to be face to face if you want to finagle some free upgrades for yourself. We checked in 7 hours early and only had to pay $20 which was not bad at all. There is an employee stationed at the kiosks to answer questions and direct you to your room.
It really makes a big difference if you stay in the Indigo Tower vs the Jubilee Tower. In the past we have stayed in Jubilee, which are the remodeled ones. Indigo is old and really dated. I probably would only come back to Bally's if I made sure I was staying in Jubilee. Additionally, this hotel reeks of cigarette smoke, worse than others. Overall, it is a modest hotel that gets the job done, as long as you aren't expecting the works.
