I really wanted to like this place. I did. I wanted to support a local version of fractured prune. Unfortunately this place did not deliver. I'm hoping to blame it on the fact that it's only been open a week and they have some kinks to work out. So below are some of the kinks they need to work on:
The ordering system is confusing. Each order is placed via tablet, however there's really no direction upon entering the restaurant.
There are one, maybe two printed menus in the Establishment. This causes delays in ordering because people are having to search through multiple screens on the tablet to figure out what they want.
They advertise warm donuts, but the donuts weren't really warm. And with the amount of toppings they added, the donuts were also soggy.
That leads me to the toppings. It was just too sweet. My two year old, who normally only eats the toppings off of donuts, took a couple of bites and wouldn't touch it anymore.
Also I was disappointed that upon arriving at 10am on a Sunday, they were already out of cold brew.
Overall, the ambience of the place is cute, and because it's local, I'm really hoping that they can work out these kinks so that they can be successful. I'll give it a couple of months to get through their opening and check it out again. My five year old is begging for it.
