| - Can't wait for this fly-by-night place to shut the doors on their crappy, offsite "airport" car rental company.
I booked a car rental for a work trip through a travel service like Expedia, where I specified LAS airport. Get to the airport, look around, what? I have to take a shuttle 10 minutes away to get to this place.
This location is in a shopping center off of las vegas blvd and windmill. They have a canvas sign stuck on the building that's hanging off. I was nervous.
Go inside, does not look like a car rental company. The rep doesn't say hi, takes my paperwork and starts into some scripted spiel about how I'm only covered for x miles. I politely try to interrupt and he literally yells at me and says "I'M NOT FINISHED". I stood there, shocked, as he told me that it would be an additional $75 to have unlimited miles on the vehicle. This doubled the price of the "deal" I thought I was getting. I asked him to clarify, and he returned to his scripted spiel.
I tore up my paperwork, threw it on the ground, and left. I got a ride back to the airport from a friend, returned to my senses, and rented a car from an actual company called Budget. Great experience, no BS, and they shook their heads when I told them about this joke of a company.
Just don't let yourself get sucked in by the low price. Absolutely not worth the hassle.
