  • We went to T. Cook's last Friday night, 3-14-14. We started with two cocktails, I had the mojito and my partner had their signature drink. He said it was lovely. There was a wonderful female singer singing in the bar area all night and the whole atmosphere at the bar and surrounding areas was magical. When we were called for our reservation, we had decided previously to sit outside on the back patio with the heaters. It was such a beautiful night and the ambiance outside was just perfect. We could hear the female singer throughout our meal, at the perfect level of volume where she sang old hits of Carly Simon, Tracey Chapman and a perfectly edited song selection list. We were a party of 6 and so we started with some appetizers. Chris was our waiter and he was beyond fantastic. He was so knowledgeable about all the different things and ingredients in each meal. We had fussy foodies in our group, so it wasn't an easy sell. We started with the Spanish Octopus which was beyond amazing. The mussels, which were also very good. We had to ask for the bread which they no longer serve and you must ask for it. It was also great and went so well with using up the fantastic broth that came with the mussels. The tomato-fennel risotto was very creamy and had a beautiful sweet taste of broccoli rabe. My favorite though was the Sea Bass Crudo, can I say Oh My Gosh! The grapefruit accompaniment went so well with the other tastes that were with the dish, it was amazing. I shared with my husband a bowl of the roasted butternut squash soup and 1/2 of the organic greens salad. The presentation of the roasted butternut squash soup was beautiful. A bowl of little pear, candied pecans and an elixir to which the soup is poured over at the table, so pretty. For our main course, we all had different things and gave each other tastes from which to savor. I had the parsnip agnolotti which was pieces of Maine lobster in an orange brown butter with ravioli's stuffed with parsnips. Simply delicious and more than one would expect to receive from a fine restaurant. I couldn't even finish it as it was rich. My husband had the whole roasted Loup de Mer, which was a whole fish, with tomatoes on top and olives and peppers in a lemon sauce. It was unbelievable. The man to the left of me, had the antelope. It came on a presented on a slice of a tree log plate, so fitting being that it was antelope. Being I don't eat meat, I didn't taste it, but others at the table did and were very impressed. We had four in our party that were celebrating March birthdays, so we were brought out a selection of sweets from the chef. They were magnificent from a berry laden pound cake to truffles, to ice cream, etc. All were very fancy and decorated beyond your imagination. We accompanied them with cappuccinos. What a perfect place to go and dine with people who are close to you. Do yourself a favor and check this restaurant out, you won't be disappointed, we sure weren't.
