Overall our experience with Topgolf was okay. We left with the distinct feeling they were overstaffed because there were employees everywhere but our interactions with the employees were ineffective. When we arrived there were three employees at the door greeting people. We walked in to two lines and a bar. We weren't sure if the people we were meeting had a bay reserved or not and we weren't aware that we need our own players cards to play. We awkwardly stood around for several minutes and not one of the staff members said anything to us. When our friends arrived they told us we had to get our own membership and we got to queue up in line to get a card. Then after getting the card we got to queue up again to get a bay. You have to provide your ID, email and phone number to purchase your $5 membership which seemed excessive to me to hit a couple golf balls. While getting us set up at a bay the staff member told us we could split the cost. Great! Except then he said he would have to over charge the card since he couldn't split the cost to exactly half. I looked at the screen and pointed out the charge for half the $35 rental fee ($17.50). I wonder how often people are overcharged because of this. After the initial set up we were finally able to play! I actually enjoying the driving range, not being a golf person I like that the machine kept score for me and the targets were fairly large. Our waitress only brought one set of silverware for our dinner and several napkins. Perhaps this was on purpose since only my salad needed a fork? However I have never been to a restaurant that only gave one person silverware. Our group of 4 got in two solid round of golfing and dinner and drinks in the one hour we were there. While discussing our experience on the way home I found out they charged my boyfriend $16 for my $12 margarita which was annoying but not worth turning around and going back to fix. I will say the margarita was small even for $12 and my salad wasn't very big considering it was supposed to be an entrée. Would I go back? Yes if someone invited me but I am in no rush to return. If I do go back it would probably be for beers and golf not for a full meal.
