  • How do you know when you fly too much? You know each airport by their call symbol. Hellooooooo CLE! Since I live in Cleveland and I am a road warrior, CLE and I have become pretty tight. I fly in and out of CLE 2-3 times a month and I have to admit that my home airport is one of my favorites. I never really have any issues with the waiting in line to check bags or security because I am elite with Continental and can bypass all that. But back when I was just a peon, I don't remember security being all that bad. For those knocking the lines have you ever gone through security at Newark? O'Hare? Phoenix? Now those security lines are something to bitch about. 5-10 minutes is nothing. Now if you are flying around the holidays it can be more hectic, but what airport isn't? I normally don't give myself enough time to eat before a flight, but if I did I'd be really happy with the new options in CLE. CLE just had a complete overhaul and the results are pretty impressive. They stayed true to the city and included a bunch of local favorites like Panini's, a new Great Lakes Brewing Co and a Quaker Steak and Lube. There is also a new food court that has a Brueggers and Cheeburger, Cheeburger in it and terminal C has one of my favorite southern chains, McAlisters. Baked potato....mmmmm nom, nom, nom. So the people complaining about the food options and there only being vending machines must not have flown out of CLE in the past year. And CLE generally doesn't have any delays or cancellations. The ground crew is pretty awesome at clearing the runways. The only delays I have ever had at CLE are due to the issues at the airport I am flying into or the one my plane is coming in from. So CLE gets an A in my book.
