| - Ok. let me start off by saying. I was in a abusive relationship and signed my lease with community manager Nancy and she briefly knowing my situation. I stayed 9/2016-9/2017. My ex found out where I moved to and started stocking the community. He approached the maintenance guy Dj making up a lie saying my water wasn't working. Dj and my ex entered into my home without my knowledge or permission. At this community a stranger can walk off the street and tell anyone anything and they will walk right into your home with out your permission. Nancy called me asking if I wanted him in my home. Hell no, I just told you 2 days ago I needed a safe place. In that moment I was filing a restraining order on him.
I had a conversation with Nancy and she said because he said I didn't have water in my home it was an emergency and Dj had to respond and do what he had to do. The problem is Dj shouldn't be any anyone's home, if a work order hasn't been called in by the resident. Its not an emergency if the resident or neighbor didn't say it. I asked her to transfer me to anther apartment and she wouldn't and told me I can put in 60 day notice and they will try to rent my home for me.
The next day noticed my ex had tried to break in by home because the doorframe was bent. I seen Dj that morning told about the door and I will call the work order in to have the door fixed-testing him to see how he would handle it. I called about 2 hours later and Nancy said it was already done. Why is it ok for him to go in a residents home with out permission? I never once told him go ahead and fix it. When I moved in it smelled like dog pee in the dinning room and the agent told me she would make a note of it, so I wouldn't be charged once I moved out.
I stayed till the end of my lease because I couldn't deal with anymore moving around I needed some kind of peace so I can get my life back on track. 3 Months before I moved out, I had left for about an hour and came home and my apartment was broken into. The medal door was peeled back like an orange and only paperwork was tossed around, someone looking for documents. I call after hour maintenance and guess who comes. Dj the maintenance man that can get away with murder and the community manager backs him up. He came by saying its homeless people that were live in the Gym and models. The gym 1st of all has 2 different keys. 1 for the pool door key and another for the gym door. All lies unless its his people, that's a lot of keys for a homeless stranger to have. He said he had them arrested and they are back messing with HIS property.
All I'm saying is I feel like it was an inside job because he was able to go in my home and the community manager defended him instead of seeing things from a residents side and a single woman. Plus I'm a leasing manager and I know lease violations when I see it. Our maintenance men cant and will not go in your home if you approach them outside even if they know your the resident in that home. they will tell you to call the office and he will then be over to assist you. That should be ground for termination or at least written up.
Luckily for them I was in a state of recovery and didn't need the drama otherwise it was a case I could have won. Also, I was charge for the pet stains and I never had a pet. This is not a safe community and Nancy is a fake and only cares about the occupancy rate. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone. There is no security or night patrol and you have to page maintenance for emergencies, it took him 30 mins to call me back when my home was broken into. Just a heads up. These are serious life situations that could put someone in danger. But, because its not happening to them they don't care. There was a bad roach problem, I constantly sprayed my home. But, if some thing was broken it was fixed and the community was always clean. But, I want' to feel safe and secure where I lay my head at night.
