I've lived here since March and I had experienced no problems until now. I live in the studio apartment and until now I loved it.
Back in May I got a notice saying that I had a $260 credit applied towards my account that they would be using for my rent that month. I was super excited but didn't know what it was from so I went into the office to ask about it. No one there could help me look into it but they assured me that if I got the notice of the credit then everything is fine and just to pay my rent minus the credit issued. I did as I was told and was very excited.
...Then a few days ago I got another notice saying that I had a balance of $260 that needed to be paid by the 24th. I was so frustrated because I always pay my rent in full and there was no way that was possible. I went in to talk to them today and they told me that they had made a mistake and accidentally applied funds from another tenant to my account back in May. They then told me that they would "work with me" and allow me extra time to pay back the $260... They then proceeded to belittle me and say that "you know how much you have to pay every month so it's your responsibility to know why you would be getting a credit and follow up if it's wrong". Although I did try to follow up and was assured that everything was fine. I don't appreciate you trying to make this my fault and make me feel bad when you made the mistake and now I have to pay for it.
I work in customer service and this is some of the poorest service I have ever received. I would never make my client pay for my mistake.
