  • I don't know why I waited so long to visit this place. It's literally a walking distance from me! Anyway, after dinner, my girlfriend and I went to Very Berry for some much needed dessert. I thought they only had shaved ice cream which is something I'm not familiar with but to my surprise they had a variety of selections. First off, there was gelato to choose from. While it wasn't a big collection, the choices of flavors were excellent. The notable ones I remember were Taro, cheese cake and nutella. Sheesh. I want to try all the flavors! After that they have crepes, waffles and drinks. Because of that, it made it very hard to choose! I got the chocolate shaved ice and it was light and airy. I was a fan of the layers of flavors from the base, topping and drizzle of the condensed milk. Why I waited so long to try this dessert? I'm not so sure. Now, taro ice cream was also purchase which my girlfriend says it reminded her of this Filipino dessert called ube. In the ice cream were hints of jelly strings which she believed was something they called "macapuno." Very interesting thought. Now the spot was clean and very inviting to many people. They had games and lots of spaces to sit and enjoy a good dessert. I don't think you'll get bored here as there's a life size teddy bear you can take selfies with, set of wings on the wall for a very hipster pose, and again, board games. I'm definitely coming back here again!
