  • Phoenix was the last stop on our road trip so we decided it warranted a fancy night out! Deseo is a great spot located at the Westin resort in Scottsdale. My guy and I sat at the chefs counter and loved watching as they prepared the dishes. It's such a treat to see the care they take in putting together the beautiful plates of ceviche. Since we were really going for it on our last night of trip we ordered the millionaire tacos and surf y césped, which is pretty much all of the best things ever in one bite. Next up was the squash soup with apple relish and duck confit, sooooo yummy and they pour the soup over the other components table side. Always fun to watch. For our entrees I ordered the short rib and my fella got the hanger steak. The steak was cooked perfectly and the chimichurri sauce was a killer compliment to the meat. The short rib was arguably the best I've ever had! The texture was amazing, unlike any I've had previously. It was firm without being tough, like eating a great steak, yet soft and melt in your mouth like you want in a good short rib. The Chef explained it was because of the method they use to cook it. Whatever they did to it made it freaking delicious and I only want them cooked that way from now on! The service here was wonderful and attentive. It was really cool interacting and asking question about the food to the folks in the kitchen. Definitely coming back to this place the next time we're in the area!
