| - This is an okay gym. There are a lot of equipments. Plenty of space and the machines aren't next to each other like sardines. They have a cinema room where they have bicycles, treadmills and other cardio machines. I've been there a couple of times just to see. I've taken a couple group classes there. They have an area to play basketball - and they also hold the classes here. I haven't taken the spinning classes here, but the room is pretty small and they don't have a lot of bicycles (unlike the Yonge and St. Clair gym).
The lockers are mostly clean. The showers always have hair though, it's kind of disgusting. I think one time the cleaners cleaned the showers and just dumped the ball of hairs on the side...which is so gross! The lockers are roomy...There are only 8 full lockers though, which sucks because when it gets busy, they're always taken. I need all the space I can take!
The swimming pool and hot tub need a lot of improvement - more the hot tub. I used to go a lot and the swimming pool was always busy. There's one lane for serious swimmers...and it's mostly occupied. The pool isn't dirty though. The hot tub is also mostly always crowded, and most times, it has muck floating around. Gross! A lot of times, they are also closed for whatever reason.
They also have a new area for any core workouts/stretching. It's a small area, not enclosed, but with mirrors on all three surrounding walls.
The staff needs to be more friendly. They only say hi to you when they're asking for recommendations. Most of them seem so into themselves and not their clients (yes, I look at how the personal trainers interact with their clients). I'm a regular at that gym and staff clearly recognizes me yet say nothing. It would be nice if they genuinely say hi and bye. Only one of the staff does that and I think he's new.
Good for equipments and space. Needs some improvement on cleanliness. Staff needs to be more friendly.
