| - Ok. For a family that eats out 2-3 times a week and happens to be in the industry for over 30 years, I am going to start writing my reviews.
Our experience here tonight has absolutely been one of the worst meals in the 10 years I have been in AZ. First the cokes we ordered were flat. When asked to replace them with other beverages, the waitress kept say, "really, really". No, we are lying. Then she insisted we have the same cokes only from the fountain from the bar. Again, flat. Never did get our lemonades.
We started with the antipasto. The salami and capicolla must have been Albertson's private label. Terrible.
We also ordered the cheesy bread sticks were on the happy hour menu. Very bad, hard crust, inexpensive mozzarella and the marinara was crushed tomatoes out of a can with out seasoning, More on this later.
Finally the pizza came. It immediately reminded me of Tostito's $0.99 frozen pizza. My teenage son would eat these often as a snack. Absolutely horrible. Thin hard crust that was difficult to cut. Loaded with the same inexpensive mozzarella and crushed tomatoes. We love left over pizza and did not even take any home.
Finally the bill comes. I noticed we were not charged for the happy hour breadsticks but were charged full price. When I questioned the waitress, she told me those were different bread sticks! I wanted to ask her if the happy hour breadsticks were the better ones!
I guess there are many restaurants here that think if they call it an Italian restaurateur it is an Italian restaurant. Brugos should be embarrassed. An overpriced, low quality product.
