| - We were forced to go there more or less, as we wanted to see the Grammy's live. We called in before hand and asked about the possibility to watch that and they said, yes, it is available if the show is not on paid channels, it wasn't.
We found ourselves in a large pub, though the entrance may send you other signals. Think of Big Nick few blocks west at Danforth. We were able to find the most quiet booth, which was the one in the end of the hall, but unfortunately where there were all the loud sports games. Which, as you can imagine were used at least twice on that evening.
We got a real gem server for the evening, unfortunately can't remember her name. Anyway she was nice and smiling and asked for what we wanted to drink. Cranberry sodas, as always. Then we got the TV figured out. You can actually use your own headphones if needed. Since the place was loud and it was two people we skipped that option and turned the volume up. It was quite nice, but you really can't handle watching all that show like that, as your eyes are in a really bad angle and....that corner happened to be very cold, so we had to put out jackets on to keep ourselves warm.
Our kind server got back with the drinks and we ordered for starter the sweet potato fries. Then continued exploring what else is there to have as main, but as some other reviewers had mentioned, the prices were actually quite high, BUT plus points for vegetarian options on different sections. Yey!. We actually found suitable options, but never end ordering anything else, but dessert, as we got so full having those sweet potato fries. They were in abundance and they were amazingly good, nice and crisp with a sauce.
Dessert was exceptional. It think we asked the server recommend us and she said that these are real good. Yes the cheesecake indeed was amazing. So good and filling, fresh and nicely presented.
I think we were lucky, as we didn't order much, we had a nice server who always came at the right moments, though it was loud and cold in that corner, we were pleased that we were able to enjoy the Grammy's, as that was the reason for us to come there in the first place.
Thank you our nice server :)
