I don't quite get the hype around this place. Whenever someone comes from out of town, I feel like this is the place that gets recommended the most. If you come on a Friday or Saturday, the wait usually hovers around an hour or so depending on the size of your group. I've had multiple dishes on both their dinner and brunch menus and while they do use fresh local ingredients, the actual entrees are a mixed bag. The burger is probably the most disappointing entree on their menu as it comes out a lot smaller than you expect it to be and is not always cooked to the doneness that you asked for. I feel pretty similarly about their steak entree but it seems like they've taken it off their menu. I do like their chicken and waffles for brunch, particularly because it comes with the thinner American waffle which I always enjoy more than the standard Belgian waffle. I also maintain that their vodka battered cheese curds are the best I've had in Madison, though the portion size has been steadily shrinking over the past few years. I may stop in for a cheese curd fix from time to time but I won't be coming back for a full meal anytime soon.
