| - We had all the sink faucets, showers spouts and bathtub spouts replaced with updated fixtures by a plumbing company. Because there was no access to the tub which had a marble surround, the plumbers had to cut through the adjoining sink cabinetry to reach the tub fixtures. That night, when I was replacing the items under the sink, a very musty smell emanated from the area which was cut away to reach the tub fixtures. I immediately suspected mold and began an internet search for a company. Yelp led me to Insurance Restoration Services and their representative, Steve, came out the next morning. He got down into the cabinet, looked through with a flashlight at the cut away portions leading to the hidden innards of the area surrounding the built in tub, and took photos. His pronouncement that there was NO MOLD and that the smell was just from the debris left years ago by the builder that had been encased for so long was music to my ears. I appreciated his honesty in assessing the situation, which meant that he wasn't trying to sell me services that weren't needed. To top that off, there was no charge for the visit. In the future, should I, or anyone I know, need the services of this company, I will be glad to recommend them. PS--I am using a handyman to put up an access door in case anyone needs to reach the plumbing in that area in the future.
