  • Um yeah. The website makes it sound so much better than it actually is. This Jambo park in Mesa is quite run down and kind of feels dirty. Half the coin-op games don't work, and half of the ones that do just steal your tokens. Half of the ones that actually take tokens and work didn't have any tickets loaded to give out. Oh my. LOL. You can bet though, that the things that you have to pay extra for were up and running smoothly (photo booth, snack bar.) We went on the first Monday of spring break and they only had two or three ride operators (there was only one operator for about the first hour) there moving between the rides. The coolest looking ride, the bumper cars, only had three cars in the area and is permanently closed for on-going 'maintenance' although clearly no one working on it. The funniest area is the 'imagin-area' which is just a big carpeted rectangle room with a giant ladder leaning up against the wall. Totally dangerous. It's like 'imagine something cool was here, you'd probably like it.' Luckily our son is three and a half and had a pretty fun time despite all the nonsense. He got to ride (most) of the rides but we had to follow him around the games going 'no sorry that's broken, no, we can't play that one, that's broken too.' Unfortunately, while this is a great concept and could be so much better, it is clearly run by a management that puts the absolute bare minimum amount of money and effort into upkeep. If they would just invest a little more in upkeep and maybe some updated video games, pinball, etc it would be worlds better.
