  • Established in the same year as the great fire of 1849 and widely considered to be Toronto's oldest pub at one location the Wheat Sheaf can't be beat. holding court at the corner of King & Bathurst the location is an ideal jump off spot when enjoying a night on King St. W. The multiple flat screen TV's crammed into orifices throughout the pub provide sports enthusiasts multiple vantage points. The best, and I mean best thing about the Sheaf is their 1/2 price wing offerings. There are THREE-count em THREE nights that the Sheaf provide their infamously addictive wings at a discount. Running from Sunday-Tuesday after 5pm and with the purchase of a beverage (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), one can enjoy arguably the best wings in the city. TIP: for best results try asking for them double baked. The wings come out perfectly crispy on the outside and are tossed and then cooked in your choice of desired sauce. With a side patio on Bathurst, flat screen TV's in every nook and cranny and multiple nights of 1/2 price wings the Wheat Sheaf is a must for any wing aficionado, Basketball, Hockey or UFC fan.
