Husband & I came in on Sunday night for Restaurant week. What a GREAT deal for $40. We have been here more times than I can count, but never for restaurant week.
As usual, they start with the great bread basket. Love the pretzel bread. I had the chopped salad and my husband had the caesar. I am not a huge fan of the chopped, but wasn't in the mood for caesar. We both had their petite filet (which is $36 on their regular menu!).
As most restaurants give you just 3 courses for restaurant week, City Hall also includes 2 sides (garlic mashed & creamed spinach) served family style. A warning about them, though, 2 runners served the sides to us as soon as the sizzling steak plates were set down..... grease started popping like crazy... on my blouse and on my face. (took 3 washings with de-greasers to get the stains out of the blouse).
We were disappointed that their famous buttercake wasn't a dessert choice, but the profiterole was good and my husband had the chocolate cake. He said it was very rich. As is the norm, we are never let down when eating here. I'm thinking of changing one of our other restaurant week reservations so that we can go back.
