| - Beware of this unscrupulous company. My husband and I trusted Marsh to manage our property for a few years, and we found them to be unresponsive, unprofessional, and outright dishonest. We now manage the property ourselves and I don't think there is a remote possibility that they really tried to rent our place promptly. Homeowners know that vacancy is one of the most costly parts of owning a rental property. It would often take 3-4 months for Marsh to rent our property in South Scottsdale. No tenant ever stayed longer than a year. Now, I know why. Since we now manage it ourselves, we often have people competing to rent it and every tenant we have had has stayed 2+years. The communication problems are not just with tenants, they exist between Marsh and the homeowners, too. I'm certain she told our tenants that we refused to fix things, when, in fact, we were never told of issues. Or, if we were told, it was days after the issue was reported by the tenant, making us look derelict. We waited until the conclusion of our contract to part ways and they STILL charged US a severance fee of $200. They just took it out of the rent, like it was their money to have. We fought it through the BBB, but because we were unwilling to take a compromise $100 (we were owed the full $200, why take $100?), the BBB dropped the case. I guess the BBB calls that "responsive". I detest Marsh Management and I have to drive by their place of business every day. It makes my skin crawl that we gave them business for four years. Not only will I never, ever work with Marsh Management again, I will vocally thrash their company to anyone who will listen. Their sleazy practices and astonishingly poor communication is a recipe for disaster, for both prospective tenant and homeowners looking for property management. Avoid this place at all costs.
