Awful.
Received a gift certificate as a present. Elmwood called us to tell us we had received the certificate and offered to book us. We booked.
First of all, there is no 'spa' feeling to the place. It looks like the makeup counter at a Barney's or something, they shuffle you through to the elevators - to the 'lounges' that are not a nicely appointed as most locker rooms of clubs.
The massage was as non personal as the spa itself. No reading of what was going on with the aches and pains - just a technical massage done by a technician. Worst I have received.
When we went to check out - they couldn't find the certificates - so after 30 mins of them 'looking' I had to pay - then they would refund me. Which they did
The manager was useless. His training apparently consisted of 'placate' and 'patronize'.
What a joke this place is. If your from the suburbs or out of town it might be considered luxury - otherwise anyone that has been to a real spa will know this place is a machine run for the sole purpose of pushing product.
Hated every minute of it.
