  • So I finally got to try out a room at Trapped and I was quite underwhelmed. Location: Conveniently located across from Woodside square and First Markham Place, there was plenty of places in the area to kill time if you are early (especially because the waiting area had almost no room and there was nothing to do). Staff: The staff was alright. Some were warm and very nice, whereas some seemed a bit harsh and terse with the way they spoke. And at one point, while asking for a hint, one gentleman seemed to imply that we lucked out on getting out without solving their whole room, but really, it was a flaw in their design, so it was quite annoying to be accused like that. Room: We did Medieval Prison and the ventilation in that room is awful. I should've known something was up with the room when the previous participants came out coughing and wheezing. When they are briefing us on the room they mention that they can provide masks to those with a hay allergy. The hay isn't the problem, it's the amount of dust that's in there that had me cough for 2 days following. In addition, it was so warm that it did not help with our breathing. In regards to the room (without giving too much away) it is straight forward for the most part but there's a few gaps that make the clues quite far reaching and I can see why the success rate is so low. We were a party of 6 (which I don't believe was even the maximum), and that felt like too many people. Overall, it was an okay, low-tech room.
