| - I hate to have to update my review but the maintenance at this property is unacceptable. When coming home Thursday, May 31st, the apartment seemed a little warmer than usual but I didn't think anything of it and tried turning the air down when I went to sleep. I woke up soaked in sweat to discover the AC wasn't working. It was pushing out only warm air. I submitted a work order to have maintenance come check on our AC that morning, June 1st at 5:30a.m. I called the Front Office around noon that day to verify someone would be checking on my AC and the Front Office staff said someone would be checking my apartment after lunch. When I got home from work that night around 4:00 p.m, my AC was turned off. No note, no nothing. I again called the Front Office and they assured me maintenance had stopped by but would have them come by again the next day. At this point, the apartment temperature is averaging 90+ degrees. Another sleepless night. On Saturday, June 2nd maintenance stops by while we are home. They inform me the unit needs a new compressor but they cannot give me any sort of timeline. I run to the store and purchase another fan for my bedroom. Another sleepless night. On Sunday, June 3rd I call the Front Office again and they again have no answers for me. Las Vegas is entering a heat warning with temps up to 110 degrees and we are offered no relief. This is beyond inhumane. Another sleepless night. I wake up Monday morning for work drenched in sweat as my apartment is 100 degrees. It is too hot to ensure I look presentable for work. It has now affected my job. After work on Monday, June 4th I stopped by the Front Office. It was only here, four days later, that I was offered a portable air conditioner. I made it very clear that the portable AC was to be set up in my bedroom because otherwise it does me no use. The Front Office informed me if there are any problems without it after office hours to call the after hours maintenance number and they will help me. Three hours later I come home from the gym to the portable AC unit in my living room and my sliding patio door open letting all of the hot air inside the already miserably hot apartment. I called the after hours maintenance number and they said someone would be coming. No one did. I moved the portable AC by myself and got my first decent night sleep in four nights. When I got home from work on Tuesday, June 5th my air conditioning was finally on and working. I'm not upset that the AC broke, that stuff happens. I am upset that I was offered no relief until the very last night. I called and showed up to the Front Office plenty. Maintenance obviously needs to reevaluate some best practices. It is inhumane that I was not automatically offered the portable AC from the beginning and that I had to suffer in 100+ temps and spend my own money. The complex was treating my open work order like I was requesting a light bulb change, not a broken AC in 100+ Las Vegas temperatures. I really have enjoyed living here and it's a great apartment complex for the price but the unprofessionalism I experienced through this is unacceptable. UPDATE on 6/14: I wrote this updated review on June 13th and low and behold I go home after work that day and my air conditioning is not working again. Only 8 days after my air conditioner compressor was supposedly replaced.
