| - When it comes to cool, nothing can top Klaxon Howl.
Klaxon Howl features a carefully curated (I know this isn't Toronto Life, but there's really no other way to describe it) of vintage military surplus gear and vintage inspired workwear.
Here, you can find the elusive Levi's Vintage Clothing collection, which has reproductions of 501 cuts from 1933, '44, the iconic 1947, '54 and '55. Imported Japanese Sugarcanes make an appearance too
They also produce their own line of workshirts and selvedge denim.
The selection of vintage milsurp is incredible. They feature an array of Russian telnyashkas (striped navy shirts) Canadian Navy blazers, Canadian Army boots, US military M-65 jackets and fishtail parkas (M-51 and 65).
The owner is super knowledgeable, and is able to tell you the story behind everything in the store. If you need to know the difference between an M-51 and M-65 fishtail parka, or the difference in the fit of 1947 and 1955 pattern Levi's 501s, he can tell you- you'll literally go from "that looks kinda cool" to knowing the history of the garment in minutes.
To sum it up, you have great stock, a cool owner and a place that can't be missed!
