  • AVOID AT ANY COST. HARMFUL and UNETHICAL My elderly mother asked if they were able to remove the gel manicure she was wearing and they said they could. One of the employees there then proceeded to take a nail file and drag it across my mother's nail bed over and over, manually grinding down the gel. The problem is that she kept on going. My mother kept on thinking that surely a professional knew what she was doing. She did not. The employee of Nail Art, ground down to my mother's nail bed, exposing the flesh underneath! My mother was in pain all night and it started to bleed. She is elderly so it will take her longer than me and perhaps you to regrow her nail bed. It's painful and risks infection which at her age is a larger health risk. Not only did the Nail Art employee do this a little, which would be an indication she is not a professional (it's an amateur mistake) but she did it a LOT; large chunk on two fingers. And if that all wasn't bad enough, the polish she put on top, came flaking off within 2 days. Outrageous. I will be contacting whatever licensing or professional regulation they have with the goal of getting their license revoked or reviewed. Mistakes happen but they clearly were not equipped (they did not use the grinding machine that a real salon would have used like the one I go to), nor trained to deal with this properly. My mother was in mild shock; she couldn't believe when she asked them point blank if this was something they were equipped to do that they would full-on lie to her face just for the measly $39 and risk, and then succeed, in hurting a little old lady in the process. It's the lying to make a buck by any means necessary that is unacceptable. Incompetent, Unethical, aiming to get their license revoked. AVOID AT ANY COST. HARMFUL and UNETHICAL
