| - I lived at Post South End for two years and would not recommend it at all. I read reviews of places where people say, "DON'T DO IT!" even though they've lived there for years and tend to think they just left on a bad note, but the second year was only done because of the location and convenience at that time in my life. There are absolutely wonderful aspects about the complex. Primarily, the events that are hosted monthly are so incredible, and the two men who run them could not be better suited for the positions. Unfortunately, two fantastic representatives do not make up for the inadequate management and subpar employees. Though there were complaints about management my first year, they were quickly surpassed by more frequent and significant complaints after MMA Properties took over, fired the only good employees in the main office, and started enforcing asinine regulations. An example? We were fined $200 because the trash room chute was filled past capacity, and so we placed the garbage bag in the trash room next to the chute. When I confronted the property manager about the fine, he informed me that my options were to either walk the trash to another room (all of which were full, by the way), or keep the bag in my apartment until the chute was clear. He also informed me that the fine was automatically attached to my rent, and failing to pay it would result in eviction. In addition, my apartment had to be visited weekly by pest control because it was infested with cockroaches, and I found a live mouse in my closet. Needless to say, I was more than happy to turn down their offer of an additional $300 a month in rent when my lease was up this year. Though this is one of the best locations in South End, and undeniably has some of the best pool parties and resident events, it is also one of the biggest disappointments. From the poor management, to the mounds of dog shit that have to be stepped over in the courtyard, you are better off living anywhere else.
